What Happens After You Order?
You will receive a luxury presentation box which contains a Welcome DVD, Welcome Brochure and Memory Jogger Booklet.
You will receive a phone call from Everyday Biographies to arrange a time for your first one-hour telephone conversation.
Your first one-hour telephone conversation will focus on:
- Building an overview of key dates and events in your life. We will fill in your life chart covering where you lived, where you went to school, what jobs you held, when you married, births of your children, and deaths of loved ones. It will then be sent to you and used in further conversations.
- Discussing which areas of your life you would like to cover (or not), which areas you would like to spend the most time on, and which memories are most important to record.
- Determine chapter layouts and the order you would like to proceed in for upcoming phone conversations.
The second telephone conversation will focus on your ancestors and your birth. We will go over each question on the list and you can recall what you remember. Our conversations are very informal, relaxed and conversational. Only aspects that you want to record will be covered.
Each of the telephone conversations will follow this format.
Within three weeks of the final telephone conversation, you will receive a draft of your book. This will allow you to make corrections or check for inaccuracies. At this stage, you can decide on chapter names and the name of your autobiography.
Once you approve your book we will send it to print and within 2 weeks you should receive your professionally-bound autobiography that you can treasure and share with your grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Please note that the printing process for hardback books takes 3-4 weeks.
